2008 LIVING
A GOD CENTERED LIFE
Ps Gersnon
God has
a purpose, a will and a plan for our lives. God loves you, heals you ,
protects you and prosper you. All the blessings coming into our lives are a
result of God’s will. Consider your blessings in the center of God’s will.
Not our plans but God’s purpose.
In
Genesis 12:1-3, we see way God deal with Abraham. Abraham just go out in
response to God’s call. Abraham is focus on God and living in God’s will.
God’s will is revealed through Abraham- I will show you, I will bless you, I
will make you…..etc
Living
a God centered life – means seeking God, asking God, walking with God,
abiding in His Word and His presence and making Him the center of our life.
What/Who is the center of your life – career, husband /wife, money, wealthy
father.
There
are many distractions in our lives. Just like Eve was tempted by Satan in
Gen 3:6 and Joseph was tempted by the flesh. In both cases, we see different
results. Joseph was centered on God and the Holy Spirit counsel him and he
did not yield to the temptation.
Godly
confidence and self confidence are different in character. Godly confidence
means anchoring on and embracing God’s word and not prideful, it is a
total dependence. Self confidence can at times make a person puff up. In
Moses and the twelve spies, we see how the 10 spies were negative- they do
not have Godly confidence.
Number
14:8
8 If the LORD is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a
land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us.
There
is time limit to our physical life, so while we are here, it is worthwhile
to consider how we can touch lives and make a difference. We must desire to
have the mind of God, that we may understand what God is about to do, to
fulfill His purpose.
2nd
Timothy 1:9
9who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of
anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace
was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,
John4:35
35Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell
you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.
The
Kingdom of God is in the heart of Jesus and His believers.
Kingdom
of righteousness
Kingdom
of Joy
We
belong to the Kingdom of God – a part of the eternal heavenly Kingdom. In
Thailand earthly Kingdom – the Thais revered their King- they respect, and
are faithful and loyal to the King. In our spiritual Kingdom- where is our
loyalty to Jesus ?

Ruth 1:1-5
In our life, we experience difficult problems, things that we do
not deserve, which make us question why God allow bad things to happen, and
it makes us bitter. In the same way, ingredients such as flour, oil and egg
taste bad when uncook but when put together, it can become a delicious cake.
God work in the same way, in our difficult times and events, just
keep trusting Him because He loves us- he choose to live inside us.
Ruth 4:14-15
14 The women said to Naomi: "Praise be to the LORD, who this day has
not left you without a kinsman-redeemer. May he become famous throughout
Israel!
15
He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your
daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has
given him birth."
If your heart is still bitter go to the lord’s clinic. As an
analogy, a sister went for checkup for blood pressure and was found to be
low in tenderness, with 40deg of anxiety, and arteries were blocked and
found to be short sighted – cannot see Jesus and deafness- stop listening to
Jesus. So the prescription goes like this—Every morning take a glass of
gratitude, when getting to work, take a glass of peace, every hour, take a
pill of patience, one cup of brotherhood, one glass of humility, when
getting home- one dose of love, and when getting to bed, take capsules of
clear conscience.
God loves you and know how you feel even as husbands, wives,
parents and pastors do not.
